While on one hand the region is battling one of the worst flood scenario it has seen over the years, on the other hand Japanese Encephalitis (JE) continues to add to the woes.
As many as 11 cases of Japanese Encephalitis have been detected in Arunachal Pradesh. While, 5 cases have been reported from East Siang district, 3 cases have been reported from Papum Pare district and a case each has been reported from Upper Subansiri, Lohit and Kra Daadi districts.
All the 11 persons tested positive with this disease are currently undergoing treatment at different hospitals in the State.
However no death due to this deadly disease has been reported from any part of the State so far.
