108, 102 emergency ambulance services resume operations

The employees of emergency healthcare service 108 -102 have resumed their duties across the State from today onwards.

The decision was taken by the employees after meeting Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.

The emergency health care services’ employees was protesting since September 5 against the government and GVK EMRI for depriving them of their rights and not following the provisions of the labour laws.

The employees, however, called off their strike after they were assured by health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma to fuilfill their demands.

A tripartite meeting will also be held among the State Government, GVK-EMRI and 108-102 employees on September 26.
