Takarjala Constituency & Candidates contesting the 2023 Assembly Elections

Takarjala is an Assembly constituency in Tripura. In 2018, IPFT candidate Narendra Chandra Debbarma won the seat by defeating CPI(M) candidate Ramendra Debbarma

Takarjala is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Tripura state in India. It is in Sipahijala district and is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes. It is also part of West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency.
In 2018 the constituency had 40,350 electors. In 2023 the population of Purba Takarjala population is estimated to be 2,556 and Paschim Takarjala population is estimated to be 6,156.
In 2018, Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura candidate Narendra Chandra Debbarma won the seat by defeating RAMENDRA DEBBARMA of the Communist Party of India (marxist) with a margin of 12652 votes. He was the former president of Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura. He passed away on 1st January 2023 after suffering a brain stroke.
