Boxanagar is an assembly constituency in Tripura. In 2018, CPI(M) candidate Sahid Choudhuri won the seat by defeating BJP's Baharul Islam Majumder
Boxanagar is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Tripura state in India. It is in Sipahijala district and is a part of West Tripura Lok Sabha constituency. In 2018, the constituency had total 37,804 electors. The current MLA is Sahid Choudhury of the CPI-M.
In 2018, Choudhury won the seat by defeating Baharul Islam Majumder of BJP with a margin of 8015 votes.
This election, Samsul Haque of the CPI-M is contesting against BJP’s Tafajjal Hossain.
