Asharambari is an assembly constituency in Tripura. In 2018, IPFT candidate Mevar Kumar Jamatia won the seat by defeating CPI(M) candidate Aghore Bed Barma
Asharambari is the 26th assembly constituency. It is part of Khowai district and is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes. It is also part of East Tripura Lok Sabha constituency.
In 2018, this constituency was won by Mevar Kumar Jamatia of the Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) by defeating Aghore Bed Barma of the Communist Party Of India (Marxist) with a margin of 6,987 votes.
In 2013, Aghore Deb Barma of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) won the seat by defeating Amiya Kumar Debbarma of IPFT with a margin of 7217 votes.
Language spoken in Asharambari are Bengali, Kokborok. The Lok Sabha constituency is Tripura East. Present sitting MP s of Tripura East Parliament Constituency is Rebati Tripura from Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Asharambari has a total population of 1,852 peoples out of which male population is 953 while female population is 899. Asharambari is 71.3 km away from Agartala.
