Amarpur is an assembly constituency in Tripura. In 2018, this constituency was won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. In 2018, Ranjit Das of the Bharatiya Janata Party won the seat by defeating Parimal Debnath of the Communist Party Of India (Marxist) with a margin of 1016 votes.
Amarpur Assembly Constituency falls under the Banka Lok Sabha constituency. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Janata Dal (United) candidate Giridhari Yadav won from Banka Lok Sabha (MP) Seat with a margin of 2,00,532 votes by defeating Jai Prakash Narayan Yadav of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
