TMC is the only alternative for Meghalaya people: TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee

West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee said that her party, Trinamool Congress (TMC) is the only alternative for the people of Meghalaya.

Addressing a public meeting at Rajbala in West Garo Hills today, Mamata Banerjee said, “Who will run Meghalaya? Guwahati will not run Meghalaya, Delhi will not run Meghalaya neither TMC will run Meghalaya from West Bengal. We are your friends and we are here to help you.”

Stating that TMC is the only alternative to the people of Meghalaya, the TMC Supremo said, “When people are diagnosed with a disease, they want genuine medicine, and real medicine is TMC’s democracy, therefore cast your votes in TMC’s favour and we will give political medicine to BJP people to wash out from the whole country.”

She further said, “We are fighting a battle against the BJP and every day, the saffron party is knocking at our doors by sending the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). They think all the people are corrupt.”

Mamata Banerjee said that if TMC comes to power in Meghalaya, then TMC will act as a friend to the people and will bring in a development wave.

She reiterated TMC’s firm commitment towards the welfare of the people of Meghalaya and promised to serve them with utmost dedication.

Meghalaya will go to polls on February 27. The counting of votes will be held on March 2,023.
