Prime Minister Narendra Modi who addressed his second rally in poll bound Meghalaya, launched a blazing attack on the Opposition.

PM Modi who received a massive response of the people, said,”Your love for BJP is not a matter of joy for many people. They have lost their sleep.”

Without naming any party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi slammed the Conrad Sangma government for allegedly denying permission to hold his rally at the PA Sangma stadium. Prime Minister Modi said, “They made lot of efforts to stop this rally, but for connecting with the people of Meghalaya, for connecting with the people of Tura, Modi does not want a ground.”

In this regard, PM Modi said that he has a special place in the hearts of the people. He said, “People have placed me in their hearts and I can see everywhere that the only clamour of people of the state is Meghalaya Maange BJP Sarkaar, Meghalaya Maange BJP Sarkaar.”

PM Modi asked those present in the rally, “If there is a BJP government in Meghalaya, then what does that mean?” To this he said, “People are well aware of the answer to this question.”

PM Modi stated, “If there is a BJP government in Meghalaya, it means rapid development of Meghalaya, welfare of every part of Meghalaya without any bias, freedom from bomb, blockade and violence, har region aur har religion ko support karne wali sarkar, free of corruption and anomalies, pucca houses to the deprived sections, power supply and free drinking water supply, increased employments oppurtunities to the youth, relieve the women folk of this state from their grievances.”

Prime Minister Modi also escalated his attack on the Congress and said, “We changed the narrative for the development of Meghalaya and the entire Northeast, but Cong governments had considered to be the last part of the globe.”

While highlighting about the BJP’s unconditional commitment for the development of the Northeast, Prime Minister Modi addressing the people said, “BJP considers it to the growth engine of entire Northeast.”

PM Modi further said, “The Congress only reminded of Northeast during the time of election, but for the Congress and the allies Northeast was only an ATM, who siphoned off your money (public money). But, the BJP believes in proper utilisation of every single penny.”

Responding to the so called ‘communal tag’ against the BJP, PM Modi said,”Sabka saath, sabka vikas’ is secularism for us. For BJP, the country and its citizens come first.”
