Former Meghalaya Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress Legislature Party Leader Mukul Sangma, today held multiple rallies in Selsella and Phulbari to drum up support for Agassi Marak and SG Esmatur Mominin respectively.
At Phulbari, while discussing the state of affairs of the youth under the NPP-led MDA regime, the former Meghalaya Chief Minister got emotional.
With tears in his eyes and a heavy heart, he said, “This government has destroyed my land and made my children cry. Will you give your votes again to those who betrayed our youth? Will you give them votes for money? Will you sell the future of the children?”
“People of Garo Hills and the whole of Meghalaya note that they have betrayed thousands of youths from Meghalaya. And if you vote for them for money, these politicians will not work for you and no one will care,” he added.
While highlighting the TMC’s commitment for the welfare of all, Mukul Sangma took a dig at the Conrad Sangma government over alleged discrepancies pertaining to the Jal Jeevan Mission.
Sangma alleged,”“They sent a report back to the central ministry in Delhi where they wrote that they provided water supply to each household in all the village. I want to ask, is water supply available in every household? Is it the reality?”
