The TMC in Meghalaya is looking forward to get the magic number to gain power once the mandate is out on March 2 for the assembly election.
Former Meghalaya Chief Minister and Opposition leader Mukul Sangma after casting his vote expressed his sentiments clearly to Northeast Live.
Mukul Sangma was asked,”Will TMC come out with the magic number?” In this response, Sangma said,”We are looking for that, I think it’s been something beyond our expectation, the pulse of the people which is quite pulpable across the state as we travelled far and wide across the state and connected with the people.”
A quite confident Mukul Sangma said,”You have seen it for Yourself, the TMC flying high almost everywhere.”
Asked about his predictions on the mandate, Mukul Sangma responded,”Well, as anticipated I have full faith and confidence on the people of the state and we will look forward for their mandate.”
However, Mukul Sangma made a significant statement as far as a post-poll alliance is concerned. Sangma when asked,”If in In case alliance is needed, with which party will TMC ally with?” Without mincing words, the 2-time former Meghalaya Chief Minister said,”Let’s look at the political dynamics that will unfold after the mandate of the people and let’s respect the mandate of the people.”
