Salmanpara Legislative Assembly constituency is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Meghalaya state in India. It is part of South West Garo Hills district and is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes.
In 2018, the constituency had 26,263 electors. In 2023 the population of Salmanpara is estimated to be 1,209 and total households residing are 177.
Congress candidate Winnerson D. Sangma is the sitting MLA of Salmanpara constituency. He won the seat by defeating IAN BOTHAM K. SANGMA of the National People’s Party with a margin of 1915 votes.
Winnerson D. Sangma also won the 2013 assembly elections from Salmanpara Constituency.
Winnerson D. Sangma is again contesting the 2023 assembly elections as a Meghalaya Trinamool Congress candidate from Salmanpara constituency.
