Rangsakona Legislative Assembly constituency is one of the 60 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Meghalaya state in India. It is part of South West Garo Hills district and is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribes.
In 2018 assembly elections the constituency had 31,740 electors. In 2023 the population of Rangsakona is estimated to be 649 and total households residing are 82.
Congress candidate Zenith M. Sangma is the sitting MLA of Rangsakona constituency. He won the seat by defeating SUBIR M. MARAK of the National People’s Party with a margin of 1962 votes.
Zenith M. Sangma also won the 2013 and 2003 elections from Rangsakona constituency as a Congress candidate. Sangma was the sports minister of the Meghalaya assembly for the period 2013 to 2018.
Zenith M. Sangma is contesting the 2023 assembly elections as a Meghalaya Trinamool Congress candidate from Rangsakona constituency.
