A 19-year-old woman was killed after shards of steel pierced her body as she tried to burst a firecracker by placing a tiffin box on top of it in Madhya Pradesh’s Mandsaur district.
The deceased has been identified as Teena. She was studying pharmacy studies at a private college in Mandsaur.
The incident happened in Karju village on Wednesday when Teena bursting crackers outside her house.

According to reports, Teena put a steel tiffin box upside down on a firecracker.
The steel box was shattered into pieces after it burst, and its splinters pierced her body, especially her stomach, causing her to bleed heavily.
She was rushed to hospital immidiately, where doctors declared her dead.
