NE CMs hail PM Modi’s leadership for BJP’s decisive win in Gujarat as new CM takes oath

It was another politician-studded swearing-in ceremony on Monday in Gandhinagar as Bhupendra Patel took oath of office as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for a second term after the BJP’s record smashing fantastic performance in the just concluded Assembly polls.
Chief Ministers of Northeast – Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma, Tripura CM Manik Saha, Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio (a non-BJP CM. He is NDPP leader), Sikkim CM PS Tamang (non-BJP CM. He is SKM leader), Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu attended the grand swearing-in ceremony held in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other BJP Chief Ministers.
Speaking to the media on the sidelines of the mega swearing-in-ceremony, the CMs and the Union Ministers lauded PM Modi’s astute leadership and his emotive connect with the masses resulting in the BJP’s historic win in Gujarat for the seventh straight time.
Union minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways and former Chief Minsiter of Assam Sarbananda Sonowal said that under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi India will certainly be recognized as a best nation in the world and the nation and its people will move ahead by leaps and bounds. “We are moving very fast in that direction,” Union Minister Sonowal said. He also said that the BJP will retain power at the Centre in 2024 as people of the nation will once again repose their faith on the leadership of Prime Minister Modi.
Soon after landing at the airport, Chief Minister Rio, speaking to newspersons said that he is in Gujarat to celebrate the victory which he termed as record breaking.
Asked about the upcoming Nagaland Assembly elections, Rio said, “Well, with the partnership (with BJP) we are very much confident (of winning)”.
Assam CM Sarma, Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu and Tripura CM Manik Saha were accorded warm welcome by the Gujarat BJP leaders upon their arrival at the airport in Gandhinagar.
