The new dress codes are for the chamber attendants, officers, security personnel, drivers, and marshals of both houses, the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha
Ahead of the special parliament session from September 18 to 22, the dress code for parliament employees underwent a significant alteration.
The good news is that Manipuri turbans are also part of the new dress code.
The new dress codes are for the chamber attendants, officers, security personnel, drivers, and marshals of both houses, the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha. They will wear this uniform during the special session of parliament.
According to reports, the sartorial makeover was done solely to give the bureaucrats and employees of the parliament a taste of “Indianness” in their clothing. The uniform has been created by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).

The employees’ bandhgala suit will be replaced with a magenta or deep pink Nehru jacket. Additionally, they will wear deep pink shirts with a lotus blossom pattern.
The employees will wear khaki-coloured pants.
The marchals in both houses will wear Manipuri turbans.
The security personnel at the Parliament building, instead of safari suits, will wear camouflage dresses, similar to the military.
