India has condemned Russia’s missile attacks on Ukraine. External Affairs minister S Jaishankar said causing civilian deaths and targetting infrastructure is not acceptable in any part of the world.

The external affairs minister’s reaction comes a day after Moscow launched missiles in different parts of Ukraine, including capital Kyiv. Jaishankar said that diplomacy and dialogue is the best option, while conflict is not going to help anyone.

Jaishankar while addressing an event at Lowy Institute in Australia, also spoke on India and Australia’s bilateral relations.

The relationship between the two countries was bolstered due to “changes in our own society and broadening interests as we have started to look eastwards,” Jaishankar noted.

External affairs minister S Jaishankar further hoped that the bilateral ties will strengthen further which will be an outcome of larger geopolitical changes.
