ICC Cricket World Cup Final tomorrow: Who will be the next World Champions?

India and Australia have faced each other 13 times in the World Cup and just once in the final.

Enthusiasm is at its peak in the run-up to the World Cup Final showdown between India and Australia tomorrow.

For many Indians, tomorrow is a once in a lifetime opportunity to witness a World Cup final, which many hope to be the chance for the men in blue to break the spell without an ICC trophy since 2013.

If we speak about both the cricketing giants, India have won the ODI World Cup two times. The first win came in 1983 when India beat the West Indies in the final. It took close to three decades for India to win the second ODI World Cup after they defeated Sri Lanka in the final in 2011.

India and Australia have faced each other 13 times in the World Cup and just once in the final.

The Australian cricket team is the most successful team in the Cricket World Cup winning the 1987, 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2015 editions.

As the big day inches closer, prices for the Cricket World Cup final ticket have risen sky high.

Tickets at tier 4 have reportedly been priced at Rs 1,87 lakh while an adjacent tier’s ticket priced at Rs 1.57 lakh. The least costly ticket at the site has been priced over Rs 32,000.

And it’s not just the tickets. Hotel room tariff in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad have also skyrocketed.

According to a reports, the hotel room tariffs for the night of the match have gone up as high as Rs2 lakh in top five-star hotels in the city, while other hotels have also increased their rates by five to seven times.
People from abroad including places like Dubai, Australia, and South Africa are most likely to come to watch the match. As many as 30,000 to 40,000 people are expected to come from outside to watch the match.

There has been a major hike in air fares to Ahmedabad as well.

Citing the India vs Australia World Cup Final tomorrow, the airfares from different destinations to Ahmedabad have drastically increased compared to the normal rates. For instance, for Chennai to Ahmedabad flights, the rates in normal times are around Rs5,000, however, they are now priced between 16,000 to 25,000.

The Indian Railway too have also decided to run special trains to Ahmedabad for fans who desire to witness the cricket extravaganza.

Top leaders will also be present at the stadium to witness the clash of the titans.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be watching the World Cup final match at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad tomorrow.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Australian Deputy Prime Minister as well as dignitaries including Central Government Ministers and Chief Ministers of other states are also expected to come to Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium to watch this final match, the Gujarat CM posted on microblogging site X.

As per reports, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma will also watch the final match at Ahmedabad.

India has reached the final after 12 years and the full might of the government in the form of central ministers and BJP chief ministers of various states will be present at the Narendra Modi stadium to cheer on the team.

Meanwhile, Team India fans have pinned their hopes on another World Cup victory by the Men In Blue. To make this happen, some of them have gone the spiritual way offering prayers to the Almighty for Team India’s victory.

Security stepped up at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad ahead of the 2023 World Cup Final, which will take place tomorrow, November 19.

Cricket fans in Delhi boarded a special train to Ahmedabad to watch the ICC World Cup final between India and Australia at Narendra Modi Stadium.

Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar arrives in Ahmedabad ahead of the final match. Speaking to ANI he said,

The Indian Air Force’s Suryakiran aerobatic team will be carrying out a flypast over the venue of the ICC Cricket World Cup final, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad from 1:35 pm to 1:50 pm tomorrow, November 19. A light and laser show will also be organised during the drinks break of the second innings.

Cricket fans are arriving in Ahmedabad ahead of the final match.

Former cricketers Sourav Ganguly, Ricky Ponting and Aaron Finch also arrived in Ahmedabad.
