Kangana Ranaut visits Kamakhya temple ahead of the release of her movie Emergency

Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut today visited Kamakhya temple in Guwahati and paid her obeisance to the goddess Kamakhya ahead of the release of her movie Emergency.

She visited the temple in line with the revered Ambubachi mela celebrations.

Kangana Ranaut arrived in Guwahati yesterday, June 28 and spent the night at Kamakhya Devalaya.

Today, she visited the temple, performed puja, offered prayers and sought blessings of Maa Kamakhya. After performing puja, she also clicked selfies with her fans on the temple premises.

It may be mentioned here that the main door of the temple reopened for the devotees at 6 am on Monday, June 26 following the four-day-long Ambubachi Mela.

A footfall of over 5 lakh was recorded this year, which is double than last year, said the Kamakhya temple committee.

The actor released a teaser of her new film Emergency on the 48th anniversary of the proclamation of internal emergency in India by the Indira Gandhi government. Kangana plays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in Emergency.
