Tripura Politics: Nabendu Bhattacharjee takes dig on TIPRA Motha

First Published: 24th September, 2022 14:13 IST

Bhattacharjee said the party is only running on the sentiments of a section of people and does not have a definite ideology.

The Tripura BJP today clarified its stance on MLA Burba Mohan Tripura’s resignation, stating that it will not have a significant impact on the party.

Addressing the media today, Tripura BJP spokesperson Nabendu Bhattacharjee said there have been occasions where many leaders had left the party in the past, but later quote unquote realized the mistake.

And not just this, Bhattacharjee added that the former leaders are now trying to return to the BJP.

Bhattacharya, meanwhile, took a dig at the TIPRA Motha and termed it as a bubble that would vanish at any moment. He said the party is only running on the sentiments of a section of people and does not have a definite ideology.

Interestingly, while the BJP spokesman said he does not accept the demand for Greater Tipraland, he did not dismiss possibilities of an alliance with the party for upcoming assembly elections scheduled early next year.
