The opposition CPI(M) MLAs organised a conference in Agartala on Saturday to raise burning issues of the people before the government.
As part of the programme a rally was organised in the capital city to protest against alleged misgovernance by the BJP-led state government.
Along with the CPI(M) MLAs and Opposition Leader Manik Sarkar, a large number of party supporters also participated in the rally that started from Paradise Chowmhuni and concluded at Orient Chowmhuni where three hours of demonstration and public address were also organised.

Speaking to the media, Leader of Opposition Manik Sarkar claimed that to know about the burning problems faced by the common people of Tripura, during the last four months the MLAs belonging to the CPI (M) have been touring the whole state under the leadership of the Left Front covering 23 subdivisions 57 blocks and 20 urban body areas.
He alleged that the session of the Assembly was held for very limited occasions under the present government and the Opposition MLAs including the Opposition leader, were barred from speaking and not allowed to exercise their democratic rights freely and fairly while they tried to raise the issues of the common people in the floor of the Assembly.
