He said called on everyone to coexist peacefully and actively engage in the ongoing development initiatives in the state

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha urged people of all religions to coexist peacefully and actively engage in the ongoing development initiatives in the state. He said this while addressing a gathering during Christmas celebrations at the Santi Rani Church, the oldest in the state, located in Mariyamnagar on the outskirts of Agartala, on Monday.

He added that Jesus symbolizes light and peace, contrasting with those who choose darkness to disrupt peace.

“I would like to wish the people present here a merry Christmas, the talk of peace which Jesus Christ preached is still very relevant today,” he said.

Saha also highlighted the government’s commitment to transforming Tripura into a better place for all and is working tirelessly to achieve the desired results.

During the event, the Chief Minister visited the church, offered prayers, and joined the cake-cutting ceremony alongside Ratan Chakraborty, the former Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly and an elected MLA from the area.
