Tripura Cabinet’s Key Decisions: Rs 5000 Aid to all Blind College Students, JRBT Results soon

The Tripura Cabinet decided to give Rs 3895 annually as dress allowance to Home Guards, create and fill 17 posts of Ward Secretary
The Tripura Cabinet headed by Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha took a slew of key decisions at its meeting on Thursday held in Agartala.
In a major decision, the Cabinet decided to provide Rs 5000 per month as financial assistance to all blind students studying in various colleges under the Chief Minister’s Special Scholarship to Divyangs.
Another key decision was to declare the much awaited results of the written examination of the JRBT (Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura) within a few days.
Decision was also taken to create and fill up 17 posts of Ward Secretary in Agartala Municipal Corporation, Tripura’s Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Chowdhury said briefing the media about the Cabinet decisions.
Chowdhury also informed that the Cabinet has decided to provide Rs 3895 as annual dress allowance to Home Guards.
The Cabinet also gave approval to fill the 34 number vacant posts in the Tripura Legislative Assembly besides 15 posts of food inspectors in the Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs Department and 263 warders in the Jail Department.
Another 10 new posts have been created in the IT department and the monthly internship allowance for veterinary doctors has been enhanced from Rs 8000 to Rs 9600 under the ARDD.
The cabinet also approved the proposal for settling up of a government dental college in Agartala’s IGM Hospital under the Health and Family Welfare Department.
The Minister also informed that recently a team from the Dental Council of India had visited the state and inspected the site for the setting up of the dental college. The team would be visiting again in December.
