Tripura: Agartala Municipal Corporation organises awareness program on implementation of state and govt schemes

Towards providing better service to the people of Agartala under the various central and state government welfare schemes, the Agartala Municipal Corporation (AMC) along with the Social Welfare and Social Education Department organized an awareness meeting on different schemes and programs on Monday.
The awareness program was attended by AMC Mayor Dipak Majumder, Deputy Mayor Monika Das Datta, and Councilors of various wards.
They discussed the implementation of the various schemes and projects to benefit the citizens.
The members of AMC also raised the hurdles in the process of implementing these schemes and how those hurdles can be overcome so that maximum benefit can be achieved.
Deputy Director Dr. Chandrani Biswas who also attended the meeting addressed the queries and discussed the various topics concerning the issues, besides the available schemes for the development of the common people.
Speaking on bringing solutions to problems, Biswas urged the councils to take advantage of the opportunity by properly implementing them in their respective wards so that the public could benefit from them.
“The purpose of this awareness program was to inform them about the schemes and programs implemented by the social welfare and social education departments meant for children, women, differently abled people, and older people”, Dr. Chandrani Biswas, Deputy Director of the SWSE department, said.
“We have discussed all the schemes in detail with the guidelines and the way to apply for different schemes and where to apply, so that we can give services to more people in the coming days in a team spirit”, Dr. Chandrani Biswas added.
The major discussions were in connection with the proper implementation of the ICDS program and social pension scheme, which largely focus on improving the health and social security of the unprivileged section of society.
