Is everything well in Tripura BJP? But that does not seem to be a reality as of now since former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb today made a very politically significant statement, that hints at differences with the party leadership in the state.

The former Chief Minister and the BJP leader today said that there are “interferences from outsiders” in the party’s internal affairs. Deb informed that he has already raised the issue with the BJP central leadership. The statement comes a day before the party’s central executive meeting.

Significantly, Biplab Kumar Deb refused to name the “outsiders” despite being repeatedly inquired by the newspersons.

Deb said,”Our party is a disciplined party, organized party but there are interference of people from the outside. I have informed this matter. Hble PM Modi ji, Nadda ji will lead the party in the right direction. I have raised the issue regarding the interferences which are made sometimes. But our party is a dedicated party, party with a difference and we all will work towards this direction.”

Without revealing much Deb said that such actions harm the organisation, while maintaining that raising such matters at the right level is his responsibility. He stated,”You understand the details. You (to journalists) also belong to Tripura than You understand very well as to who does it how, and why. This harms the organisation of the party. The organisation is for everyone. I am not a bureaucrat, not an IAS office, not an IPS officer, I am only a worker.”

The former Tripura Chief Minister affirmed that and that he shall never shy away from his responsibilities saying,”Working for the welfare of the party, working together with the party is my responsibility. But when there is interference, it is my responsibility to raise the matter at the appropriate level. I get an oppurtunity for this and hope that it will prevail in the future too.”

“I cannot exactly reveal about it (interference) but I have apprised my party leadership and I will work with dedication. I will do everything whatever is for the wellbeing of the organisation.
Infiltrators and a mindset of infiltration has never happened in the organisaiton and I am always there to ensure it and others too must be there to ensure it,” Biplab Deb added.

Asked on whether there is a need for restructuring the party, Biplab Deb said,”We will do it, everyone of us will come together to strengthen it. Lok Sabha elections are at the front and there has to be a government for the 3rd time under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra modi. Last time also we have given 2 LS seats from Tripura to PM Narendra modi and this time too we will give it.”

Meanwhile, soon after briefing newspersons, Biplab Kumar Deb left for Delhi. Reports suggest that he was immediately summoned by the BJP central leadership.
