He stressed the need to safeguard democracy and uphold the constitution against divisive forces seeking to weaken it with hatred and divisive tactics.

Saha also addressed pressing concerns like unemployment, inflation, and the protection of lives and properties, asserting that leaders like Rahul Gandhi are at the forefront of fighting for justice for ordinary citizens against those in power.

Saha firmly advocated replacing the current ruling party with a Congress government to fulfill electoral promises and safeguard the constitution from further erosion.

Expressing confidence about winning the elections, Saha claimed that here is widespread opposition to the incumbent party including those who support Gandhi’s ideology, those who are Ambedkar’s followers, and individuals from diverse religious backgrounds.

Regarding recent political developments in Tripura, where the main opposition TIPRA Motha party with its 13 MLAs has joined the BJP-led government, Saha said that it was an independent decision by a separate party.

Saha did take the opportunity to remind Tripura’s indigenous population of Congress’s contributions to tribal welfare, citing initiatives such as the establishment of TTAADC, increasing assembly constituencies reserved for tribal, enactment of the Forest Rights Act, and empowerment of district councils.

Saha urged the tribal population to support the Congress, emphasizing that their interests align best with his party.

Saha’s main fight is expected to be against former Chief Minister and Rajya Sabha MP, Biplab Kumar Deb who is the BJP candidate from the same constituency.
