Governor of Tripura Indra Sena Reddy Nallu was sworn as the acting Governor of Mizoram today.
He was administered the oath of office by Justice Nelson Sailo, Judge, Gauhati High Court at a ceremony held in the Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan in Aizawl.
He will hold the office of Mizoram Governor as an additional charge till the time incumbent Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati is on leave.
The swearing-in event was attended by Speaker Lalbiakzama, Home Minister K. Sapdanga, Chief Minister Lalduhoma, Cabinet Ministers, Ministers of State, MPs from the Lok Sabha, Chief Secretary, DGP, and other important guests.
Born on March 31, 1949, Indra Sena Reddy hails from Ganuga Banda Village, Nalgonda District, Telangana.
He served as an MLA representing Undivided Andhra Pradesh thrice (1983, 1985, and 1999).
He was the BJP state president in 2003 and BJP National General Secretary in 2014.
