Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman collapses during a programme in Agartala

Tripura Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman almost collapsed while addressing a programme outside the Congress Bhawan in Agartala on Monday.

The party members promptly acted and rushed to help the MLA as he leaned on the lectern.

Following the incident, Barman was promptly escorted to his official residence by Congress leaders, where a physician examined him. At present, his condition is stable.

Earlier in the day, Barman had participated in a rally celebrating Mahatma Gandhi’s birthday and paid tribute to the Father of the Nation at Gandhighat in Agartala.
