Teary adieu to murdered Sikkim jawans

Sikkim cabinet ministers, MLAs, DGP A Sudhakar Rao, and several other dignitaries were present at the ceremony.

The mortal remains of the three IR Battalion jawans from Sikkim reached their home state this afternoon.

The three jawans were killed during a shooting at the Hyderpur plant in New Delhi by a fellow jawan. Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang paid his tribute to the deceased IRB jawans at the Rangpo police station.

Besides, Sikkim cabinet ministers, MLAs, DGP A Sudhakar Rao, and several other dignitaries were present at the ceremony.

It may be mentioned that Lance Naik Prabin Rai had shot dead 3 of his colleagues Lance Nayak Pintso Namgyal Bhutia, constable Indra Lal Chettri and constable Dhan Hang Subba in Delhi on July 18.

Earlier on July 19, A Sikkim police team led by ADGP Abhichal has left for New Delhi today to probe the sensational incident where a Sikkim Police personnel shot dead 3 of his colleagues on Monday afternoon.

As per information, accused Lance Naik Prabin Rai shot dead three of his colleagues, who were identified as Lance Nayak Pintso Namgyal Bhutia, constable Indra Lal Chettri and constable Dhan Hang Subba.

The accused shot dead three colleagues after they allegedly made offensive remarks about his wife. The incident occurred at a water plant in the Haiderpur area.
