Sikkim Cricket Association announces 15 member U19 Men’s Squad for Vinoo Mankad Trophy

Sikkim will play their entire group stage matches at Rajkot, with the fixtures scheduled between October 12 and 20
Sikkim Cricket Association (SICA) on Friday announced the Sikkim U19 men’s squad for the upcoming Vinoo Mankad Trophy starting on October 12.
The selected players include – Anuj Biswakarma, Deepak Gupta, Inzamamul Haq, Kunal Gupta, Md Sharim Iqbal, Om Anand Gupta, Prashant Chettri, Rohit Limboo, Rohan Kumar, Safal Mani Ghimirey, Siddhart Prasad, Sirnim Darjee, Sitish Kumar Rawat, Tenzing Bhutia, and Md Emamuddin.
The tournament features 36 teams divided into six groups. Sikkim has been placed in one of the groups alongside strong contenders like Kerala, Punjab, Baroda, Madhya Pradesh, and Nagaland.
The group that wins will earn direct qualification for the quarterfinals, and the team that is placed second will battle it out in a pre-quarterfinal fixture.
Sikkim will play their entire group stage matches at Rajkot, with the fixtures scheduled between October 12 and October 20.
To ensure that the Sikkim team is well-prepared for the prestigious tournament, the Sikkim U19 squad will undergo a rigorous 15-day preparatory camp at Bolpur, West Bengal, starting on September 24.
This camp will be essential in honing their skills, boosting their confidence, and fostering team spirit.
Vinoo Mankad Trophy is a national-level U19 one-day cricket tournament organized by the Board of Control for Cricket (BCCI). The tournament is named after former Indian cricketer Vinoo Mankad.
