Sikkim CM announces ‘Sikkim Creatorpreneur Yojana’ scheme to social media influencers

The scheme will engage thousands of Sikkimese youth in a productive manner besides earning money by working from home.

Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang announced “Sikkim Creatorpreneur Yojana”, an innovative policy that encourages the Sikkimey youth to monetize their talent in digital content making and the State’s requirement for promotion of its flagship schemes and achievements.

As per the “Creatorprenuer” scheme, youths can create video reels using their own creativity to promote various State government schemes like Aama Yojana, Mero Rukh Mero Santati and Sikkim Garib Awas Yojana in their social media accounts.

Under this digital employment from the State government, the content creators would be paid cash incentives for their promotion of government schemes through video reels in social media with the amount depending on the number of their digital followers starting from 500 followers to above 10,000 followers. The digital promotion cash incentives range from Rs. 10,000 to Rs 5 lakh.

Sharing more details, the Chief Minister said the “Sikkim Creatorpreneur Yojana” will engage thousands of Sikkimese youth in a productive manner besides earning money by working from home. It also meets the publicity requirement of the State government to promote its schemes and Sikkim, he said.
