Sikkim Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya administered oath of office to Bishnu Kumar Khatiwada
Rhenock MLA Bishnu Kumar Khatiwada was sworn-in as cabinet minister of the Sikkim government today.
Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya administered the oath of office to Bishnu Kumar Khatiwada in presence of Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, his cabinet ministers and MLAs of the SDF, BJP ruling front.
The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Raj Bhawan in Gangtok.
However, it is yet to be known as to which portfolio has been assigned to Khatiwada.
It may be mentioned here that Khatiwada is a first-time MLA.
Earlier, reports stated that a Legislature party meeting of the SKM held in Gangtok chaired by Chief Minister PS Tamang had decided to induct Khatiwada into the cabinet.
The swearing-in ceremony was graced by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, Speaker of Sikkim Legislative Assembly, Arun K. Upreti, Deputy Speaker, SLA, Sangay Lepcha, Cabinet Ministers, MP Lok Sabha, Indra Hang Subba MLAs, Mayor, Dy Mayor, Councillors, CS, Zilla Adhyakshas, DGP, Chairpersons, Advisors, and HoDs from various departments.
