Indian Football star Bhaichung Bhutia has stepped into a new journey. Bhutia has started ‘Yuwa Yatra’ to gain opinions from people on whether he should join politics or not.
Bhaichung in his Facebook post wrote, “Starting my Yuwa Yatra with few close friends today. I shall travel to different places of my state Sikkim, venture the beautiful places and meet beautiful people. Starting from my village Tin-kitam, I am looking forward to this Yatra.”
The former Indian footballer had resigned from the primary membership of Trinamool Congress in February. Though Bhutia has not joined any other political party till date, speculation is rife in West Bengal and Sikkim based on reports that the Arjuna Awardee may either join the Bharatiya Janata Party or might form a new regional party prior to the 2019 Sikkim assembly elections.
