Newborn baby stuffed inside an earthen pot found floating in a river in Assam

In a bizarre incident, a newborn baby boy stuffed inside an earthen pot was found floating in a river in Assam’s Goalpara in the wee hours today.

The incident has been reported from Krishnai area of Goalpra.

According to inputs, a man who went to say his prayers near the Krishnai river that flows along the Nayapara village in Goalpara heard the newborn baby crying. After that, the man jumped into the river and rescued the baby boy.

He then rushed the baby to a nearby hospital for medical care and informed the police.

Police has initiated an investigation onto the matter.

The man who rescued the baby has said that he wants to keep the baby with him and raise him with love and care.
