The Centre is mulling to showcase the Hornbill Fest in the global platform during the G20 Presidency to be held from December 1.
Discussions pertaining to this matter, was held between G20 Chief Coordinator Harsh Vardhan Shringla and Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio. During the meeting, talks focused on oppurtunities to showcase Nagaland’s famous Hornbill Festival through the lens of G20.
It needs to be mentioned that the Hornbill Festival begins the same day when the nation is hosting the G20 Presidency, while Nagaland will be celebrating the Statehood Day.
Meanwhile, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said that he had a meeting with the G20 Presidency Chief Coordinator Harsh Vardhan Shringla and his team to review the requirements for holding G20 Business Meet. Besides, Chief Minister Rio also informed that this year’s Hornbill Fest will co-brand G20’s logo.

The review meeting was attended by Chief Ministers of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura.
