WC of NNPGs oppose Nagaland elections

With less than 2 months to go for Assembly elections in Nagaland, the Working Committee of the NNPGs has reiterated its opposition to the poll process once again.

The Working Committee of the NNPGs has lashed out at Nagaland BJP president Temjen Imna Along and the state party leadership for allegedly taking an anti-solution stance thus playing with fire.
In a strongly worded statement issued on Thursday, the NNPGs said that while the BJP Government at the Centre is trying its best to find permanent peace in Nagaland through negotiated political settlement with Naga political groups, the Nagaland state BJP leadership is playing with fire.

The NNPGs also accused Temjen Imna Along of not showing genuine concern or commitment for the Naga cause.

The NNPGs claimed that On 9th November 2022, the WC, wrote an official letter addressed to State BJP President for a meeting on crucial matters but were yet to get any response from the former.
The NNPGs also accused Along of misleading the Naga people and betraying the BJP leadership in Delhi.

The NNPGs accused Temjen lmna Along of fiddling with Naga Political issue to thwart the progress of Naga talks.

The NNPGs warned that if elections are forced on the people of Nagaland, the BJP like the Congress, will also be wiped out. Solution, not election is the way forward, the NNPGs added.
