The initiative is expected to provide over three lakh students and 7,500 educators from across the state with access to Embibe's AI-led personalized learning apps

In a big push in the field of education, the Nagaland Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Embibe, India’s foremost AI-powered learning and outcomes platform, to make artificial intelligence (AI)-powered education more accessible to all students.

The initiative is expected to provide over three lakh students and 7,500 educators from 1,925 government-run schools across the state with access to Embibe’s AI-led personalized and adaptive teaching and learning apps.

Principal Director, School Education Thavaseelan K said Embibe-AI is one of the foremost firms that work on personalized learning that essentially assesses the student’s performance in the app and provides the level of assessment depending on the performance.

“The software itself uses artificial intelligence to adapt to the students learning abilities,” he added.
The Principal Director further said, “Gaining knowledge is the first aspect, and assessing themselves on their own is another advantage, but they will also be able to benchmark against kids in other parts of the country so that they know where they are, where are the areas of improvement, and all of that can happen simultaneously,” he said, while adding that learning doesn’t just happen in schools; a significant amount of learning takes place outside.”

He maintained that the partnership is envisioned to enhance the quality of education in government schools and impart the best quality education to students across the state. He said, “This is one of the several ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education in our government schools, and we would continue taking up such an initiative in a very phased manner so that we give the best opportunities to the students in government schools.”

Speaking about the numbers of schools and educators the initiative will benefit, he said, “Eventually, the idea is that we want to cover all the government schools in a phased manner, but as of now, the pilot that we are looking at is about 100 schools, but we would add more schools, more teachers, and more students as time goes by.”

He informed the students that the department has been undertaking another effort to ensure the best possible education available to students and added that the department would continue taking up such initiatives to give the best opportunities to the students.

Further, he said that the department is looking at the current academic year to implement the course in the state.
