Nagaland: CM Rio bats for Strong Policing

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio urged all police personnel to continue rendering their best possible service with dedication wherever being posted.

Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio today inaugurated the Sovima police station, as part of the government’s efforts to strengthen the policing system.

With the inauguration of the new police station, the Police Commissionerate of Dimapur now has a total of 10 police stations and 2 traffic controls.

During his inaugural speech, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio urged all police personnel to continue rendering their best possible service with dedication wherever being posted. Chief Minister Rio urged the Nagaland Police personnel to be sensitive while dealing with the public and treat everyone with dignity and compassion.

Besides, the Nagaland Chief Minister also asked the police to be Zero Tolerant against law breakers and maintain the highest standard of conduct.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio expressed that setting up the Sovima police station will reduce police response time considerably besides ensuring increased visibility of the Nagaland Police personnel in the area.

Rio added that the new police station will bring about a sense of security among the citizens and helping to curb anti-social activities.
