An astounding Rs 31.57crore seized till Feb 8 in poll-bound Nagaland

Till February 3, Nagaland Police had seized Rs 24.52 crores in cash

A whopping Rs 31,57,89,902 (Rs 31.57 crore) have been seized till February 8 in poll-bound Nagaland, the Nagaland CEO’s office informed today.
The total seizure made by both Central and state government enforcement agencies includes cash, IMFL, drugs/narcotics, freebies and other items.
The amount of cash recovered is to the tune of Rs 1,64,62,850. India-made foreign liquor worth Rs 47,350281 was seized till February 8 since the poll dates were announced on January 18.
Drugs and narcotics worth Rs 23,33,61,339 and freebies and other items worth Rs 18,61,5,432 was seized.
On February 8, the agencies seized cash, liquor, drugs and narcotics worth Rs 6.17 lakh.
Earlier on February 3, the Nagaland Police had seized Rs 24,52,53,350 (24.52 crores) in cash, IMFL worth Rs. 30,202,492, narcotics worth Rs. 21,771,7800, other contraband worth Rs. 28,963,74,74, and other items worth Rs 17,19,832.
