Continuing the war on drugs in Mizoram, BSF forces seized Yaba tablets worth over Rs. 6 crore from Kolasib’s Chhimluang Village on Friday. The security forces also apprehended 2 drug peddlers, including a Myanmar national, during the raid.

Acting on specific inputs, a special operation was planned by troops of 38 Battalion BSF along with the Excise and Narcotics Department, Kolasib, during which the team foiled the dealing of narcotic Yaba tablets near Chhimluang Village, on National Highway 306.

Reportedly, 1 lakh 30 thousand 492 Yaba tablets weighing over 12 kilogrammes were seized. The value of the contraband is estimated to be 6 crore 52 lakhs and 46 thousand rupees.

The apprehended individuals have been identified as Samir Dev from Silchar and Solomon from Chin State, Myanmar.
