Mizoram Boxer Laldinsanga Clinches WBC Youth World Title in Bengaluru

In a thrilling bout, Laldinsanga from Mizoram clinched the prestigious WBC Youth World title at the Championship held in Bengaluru last night.
Hailing from Lunglei Ramthar in Mizoram, Laldinsanga won the title defeating Ghanaian boxer Michael Decardi Nelson.
Laldinsanga showcased exceptional skill and resilience, securing a win that extended his unbeaten professional record to an impressive 9-0.
From the opening bell, he controlled the pace, using precise footwork and powerful combinations to keep Nelson on the back foot.
Despite the Ghanaian’s aggressive attempts to turn the tide, the young Mizo boxer maintained his composure and secured a decisive win.
His victory has not only elevated his career but also brought immense pride to his home state of Mizoram.
Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma took to X and congratulated him on his achievement. CM Lalduhoma commended the boxer’s dedication and said the inspiration his victory provides to aspiring athletes across the state.
“Congratulations to Laldinsanga from Lunglei Ramthar and his team on winning last night’s #WBC Youth World Title fight in #Bengaluru. By defeating Ghana’s Michael Decardi Nelson, Dinsanga claimed the prestigious title and improved his professional record to an impressive 9-0,” the Chief Minister tweeted.
