BSF jawan from Mizoram martyred in Jammu and Kashmir

A BSF Jawan from Mizoram, Lal Fam Kima has been martyred on the line of duty in Jammu and Kashmir after Pakistan yet again violated ceasefire and fired indiscriminately targetting BSF posts.

The BSF bravehearts too retaliated to the unprovoked firing by the Pakistan Rangers. But during exchange of fire Lal Fam Kima suffered grievous injuries.

He was brought to CHC Ramgarh from where he has been referred to Army Hospital Satwari Jammu . Lal Fam Kima was under treatment in the Army Hospital Jammu when the doctor on duty declared him dead 2:30 AM.

The deceased BSF jawan was a resident of Phuaibuang, Saitul in Aizawl. He is survived by his wife, a son and 2 daughters.

The BSF in a statement said that Pakistan Rangers resorted to unprovoked firing in Ramgarh area which was befittingly responded to by BSF troops.

In a post on X, the BSF condoling the demise of Lal Fam Kima said, “Director General & all ranks of Border Security Force salute the supreme sacrifice of HC/GD Lal Fam Kima of 148 Bn who succumbed to injuries during unprovoked Cross Border Firing incident along the Jammu Border. Prahari Parivar stands by his family in this trying time.”

Notably, the firing targeting Border Outposts in the district is the third ceasefire violation in 24 days by the Pakistani Rangers along the International Border on the Jammu frontier.
