Meghalaya TMC leader from Umroi assembly constituency, Lyngdoh encouraged the party workers to work hard towards fulfilling the party's vision in the state
Meghalaya TMC leader from Umroi assembly constituency George B Lyngdoh said on Friday that given the plight of the Congress and the fact that the people have lost all hope as far as ruling NPP is concerned, TMC is the only workable alternative for the state.
Encouraging the party workers to work hard towards fulfilling the vision of the party, George B Lyngdoh said, “We need to give our full efforts and work hard for the next month, and I will extend my unwavering support towards your endeavour. We have faced hardships under this NPP-led MDA rule, where our voices were neither heard nor given heed. People sitting in Delhi are ruling over us as their desires are forcefully pushed upon us.”
Citing that all the Congress leaders have left the grand-old party, Lyndoh justified why TMC is the only viable alternative in Meghalaya.
“Only 5 Congress leaders remain in the party, while all others have already quit. The remaining leaders will also jump ship soon. Meghalaya TMC is the only credible alternative to oppose BJP,” said Lyngodh inaugurating the party’s new office in Umsning assembly constituency in Ri Bhoi district of Meghalaya.
Meghalaya TMC State Vice President James Lyngdoh, Meghalaya TMC General Secretary Dr. Fabian Lyngdoh, Meghalaya TMC Mawhati candidate Dr. Saraline Dorphang, TMC District President and Umsning candidate Gilbert Nongrum, TMC Student Union leader Landingstar, TMC District General Secretary G Pyrtuh and TMC Umroi Block Vice President C L Masharing also attended the event.
Earlier this week, former Meghalaya Chief Minister and TMC leader Mukul Sangma inaugurated a new party office at Moulakandi in Tikrikilla. Addressing the public Sangma assured that TMC would work towards uplifting the quality of life of the people of the state.
Meghalaya will go to polls on 27 February 2023 to elect members to the 60-member Meghalaya Legislative Assembly. The results will be declared on March 2, 2023.
