Six persons, including four Bangladeshis, arrested in separate ops in Meghalaya

During the arrest, district police seized various items, including Aadhaar cards, PAN cards, mobile phones, and a sum of cash.

The West Garo Hills police in Meghalaya arrested four suspected Bangladeshi nationals from Dalugaon village on Monday, said officials.

According to inputs, the individuals were arrested for illegal entry into India.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Meghalaya Director General of Police (DGP), Dr. LR Bishnoi wrote, “Kudos to the @WGHPolice! Their alertness & prompt follow up action led to the apprehension of 4 illegal Bangladeshis at Dalugao & seized cash, Aadhar/PAN Cards & mobiles from their possession.”

In another operation, the police also arrested two drug peddlers and seized 712 Pyeevon Capsules from their possession.

“In another ops their team nabbed two drug traffickers &recovered 712 Pyeevon Caps. Hunt for linkages is on”, Bishnoi added on X.
