The Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai, visited Moreh on Tuesday, where he inspected the Integrated Check Post and various border pillars that Moreh shares with Myanmar.
Union Minister Nityanand Rai, along with IG Assam Rifles Ranjan Sherawat and Brigadier 26 Sector Assam Rifles Vetval Yadav, paid an official visit to Moreh on the Indo-Myanmar border. The Minister also visited the 5 Assam Rifles Headquarters, the Integrated Check Post Moreh, the Tamil Temple, and the Border Pillar, 78.
“Today discussed and deliberated on various aspects with Major General Shri Rajan Sherawat, IGAR (South) and other officers of Assam Rifles at More Ops Room located at Indo-Myanmar border, Manipur. Had breakfast with the jawans of Battalion-5 of Assam Rifles.” Union Minister Nityanand tweeted.
