Manipur’s Shereinai Bliss Crowned Miss Barak 2022

Thonjiliu Abonmei from Nallong village of Tamenglong district was the 1st runner-up and Jianreiliu Gonmei from Nungba village in Noney district was the 2nd runner-up

Ng. Shereinai Bliss, 20, from Manipur was crowned Miss Barak 2022 in an event at the 3rd State Level Barak festival held at Khabung Karong in Senapati on Wednesday evening.
Thonjiliu Pamai from Nallong village of Tamenglong district was the 1st runner-up and Jianreiliu Gonmei from Nungba village in Noney district was the 2nd runner-up.
Shoibam Sushima Devi bagged the Best Catwalk title, T. Dorothy Maram won the Beautiful Skin title, Keisham Casper was given the Best Designer title, Athisa Thangal bagged the Beautiful Hair title and Babina Thokchom won the Beautiful Smile title.
As many as 18 contested from the hills and valley districts participated at the beauty pageant.
All the contestants spoke about the need to protect and preserve the Barak River as well as to save nature as a collective responsibility.
Ng. Shereinai Bliss hails from Keize village of Senapati district and is a resident of National Games Village, Imphal. She aspires to become a civil servant. Presently, she is pursuing her B. Sc. (5th Semester) in Chemistry honours at Dhanamanjuri University, Imphal. She was also the winner of Miss Dhanamanjuri University 2021 and a top 10 finalist in the Miss Shirui Lily.
Thonjiliu Abonmei did her Master’s degree and aspires to become a Professor.
Jianreiliu Gonmei is currently pursuing her Master’s degree (1st Semester) at Dhanamanjuri University and she was the 1st runner-up in Dhanamanjuri University, 2020-21 and Miss Beautiful Smile in the past.
Minister of Municipal Administration, Housing and Urban Development (MAHUD) Y. Khemchand Singh attended the event as the chief guest. Speaking at the event, Minister Y. Khemchand Singh also stressed on the need to preserve the Barak river. Kayia Florence, General Secretary, of Senapati District Women Association also attended the event.
