The BJP continues to intensify it’s campaign ahead of the 2022 Manipur assembly elections. BJP national president JP Nadda is leading the BJP charge from the front as he arrived in the poll-bound state for the fourth time within a month. In fact, this was Nadda’s 2nd visit to Manipur in the past one week.
JP Nadda was accorded a warm welcome by Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh as well as top BJP leaders. After his arrival, JP Nadda headed to Kakching for addressing a Yuva Rally.
Addressing a sea of supporters, JP Nadda lashed out at the Congress and blamed it for giving 3 ‘I’s i.e. Insurgency, Instability and Inequality to Manipur during the regime. Nadda said that the state has transformed during BJP rule which has worked on Infrastructure, Innovation and Integration.
The BJP national president also emphasized the fact that the youth of Manipur can excel in the field of sports. Nadda in this regard mentioned MC Mary Kom, Mirabai Chanu among others who have made the nation proud through sports.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also likely to come to the poll-bound state on January 4 to give a boost to the BJP’s election campaign. The Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate some development projects and address a public rally in Imphal.
BJP got a shot in the arm before the polls when NPP’s Letpao Haokip who is a minister in the N. Biren Singh government joined the saffron fold in New Delhi yesterday. Haokip said that he was attracted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for Manipur and the country.
