Manipur dengue outbreak: 26 cases detected in Churachandpur district hospital today

An alarming situation has arisen in violence-hit Manipur after at least 26 positive dengue cases were detected from Churachandpur district hospital today.
Since January until October 9, a total of 1,204 cases have been reported in the state of Manipur, with Imphal West registering the highest cases at 828, sources informed.
The state reported its first dengue case in January this year. In February, 2 cases were reported, July – 2 cases, August – 4 cases, September – 8 cases, and in October, 10 cases were detected.
To stop the further spread of dengue among the people, the Churachandpur District Malaria Department has taken up fogging activities at various localities where cases of dengue have been detected, namely Singseng, Tuibong, DM. Veng, Rengkai , Zomi Colony, and New Lamka in Churanchandpur.
The District Malaria Department has also released Dos and Don’ts of Dengue to create awareness among the people.
