Kachui Timothy Zimik of the NPF also filed his nomination for the Manipur (Outer) seat.
Kachui Timothy Zimik of the NPF and RK Somendro of the Manipur People’s Party (MPP) today filed their nominations for the Manipur (Outer) and Manipur (Inner) Lok Sabha seats respectively.
Popular Manipuri actor RK Somendro alias Kaiku after filing his nomination said, “See the crisis which we are facing right now and how the people are struggling and this has been going on for more than a year now. If we want to change Manipur, bring peace and harmony, we need to bring this regional party (MPP) over here. This is very important I believe. So instead of going for the national party, the community living here in Manipur, all the people I request that it is the right time for us to choose regional party to bring change in Manipur.”
Briefing newspersons after filing his nomination from the Manipur (Outer) seat, NPF’s Kachui Timothy Zimik said, “I have the mandate of my people, of all the communities covered by this Manipur (Outer) constituency.”
Listing out his priorities, Zimik said, “After getting elected My first priority will be to bring peace in Manipur and the second part is to have development in the state. That is what I intend to do.”
Zimik is backed by NDA partners BJP and the NPP in the election.
