Durand Cup: Rajnath Singh attends opening match of Manipur leg

Manipur club Neroca FC and Trau FC will lock horns in the first match of the Manipur leg of the tournament.
Defence minister Rajnath Singh along with Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Pande have arrived in Imphal to attend the opening match of the Manipur leg of the Durand Cup.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh landed at the Imphal airport a short while back and is headed to the Khuman Lampak stadium for the 1st tie.
Manipur club Neroca FC and Trau FC will lock horns in the first match of the Manipur leg of the tournament.
Earlier on August 16, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh inspected the ongoing preparations for hosting the 131st edition of Asia’s oldest football tournament the Durand Cup at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium in Imphal.
Following his inspection, CM Biren expressed satisfaction over the preparations and congratulated the sports minister, other officials, and the army personnel as well for their efforts.
