Bomb blast at NIT registrar’s home in Imphal

The explosion took place at gate of assistant registrar of NIT Manipur, Laikangbam Dorendro’s residence at Nagamapal Kangjabi Leirak in Imphal West

A bomb blast took place at the residence of NIT Manipur’s Assistant Registrar Laikangbam Dorendro on Monday midnight.

The blast took place at the gate of the Assistant Registrar’s residence at Nagamapal Kangjabi Leirak in Imphal West.

No injuries or casualties reported so far.

Meanwhile, teaching and non-teaching staff of NIT Manipur staged a sit-in protest at the Institute campus decrying the bomb attack.

The staff of NIT urged the authorities to ensure safety and security of all and hoped that acts of violence would not be repeated.
